Linda Ronstadt, just back from a successful tour of bowling alleys and donut shops in Ohio, has weighed in and her anger concerning the new illegal immigration law in Arizona. It’s good to know Linda’s still wobbling around. She always appeared to me to be the kind of crazy woman who lives with 87 cats in a run-down trailer filled with mountains of trash out in the desert. Ronstadt said at a protest in Phoenix:

“Mexican-Americans are not going to..burp..take this lying down.”

Well, it’s pretty certain Ronstadt will take it lying down….most likely with a dozen or two of Krispy Kremes and a Medic Alert to call the firemen to help her when she wants to stand up. From what I’ve seen in the polls, the majority of legal immigrants and US citizens support Arizona’s law.

Linda Ronstadt is a liberal wacko from way back. One can use her as a barometer on how they feel on any issue. I use Nancy Pelosi. If Pelosi is for something, I know it is an idiotic idea. If she’s against it, I know it’s the right thing to do. We haven’t heard…thankfully…too much from Linda Ronstadt lately. It’s too hard for her to talk with her mouth full. Fortunately, for us she carries around a bag of Doritos everywhere she goes. Rumor has it she is hooked up to an IV of Hershey’s chocolate syrup.

Liberals just have a big problem with that “rule of law” stuff. Well, at least the laws that benefit American taxpayers. They don’t mind writing and cramming down laws on us that Americans don’t want and cannot afford. ObamaCare and the unStimulus bill come to mind.

I don’t understand why Ronstadt would support illegal aliens and the myriad of problems they bring with them. Maybe she eats them when they cross her property out in the desert.

There are two things I don’t care about. Both of them are what Linda Ronstadt thinks! Linda, stuff another Twinkie or twelve down your pie-hole and leave the productive people alone! Buuuurrrrrrrp!

Obama Tells Supreme Court American Voters Are Unconstitutional

Washington, D.C.--Following a defiant State of the Union Address in which he refused to deviate from a radical agenda opposed by significant majorities of the American people, President Obama told the Supreme Court "voters are unconstitutional."
A confidant Obama asked the assembled Justices "What's the point of being President if I have to answer to a Congress following the will of a bunch of other folks I have no control over? That's not the way to get things done for the American people."
The President said Article I of the Constitution created the Congress, Article II created the Presidency, and Article III created the Supreme Court. "Where's the article creating all these rabble-rousers?"

Horror: Blobfish Nearing Extinction

Imagine my surprise to discover a fish named after Michael Moore.

The unfortunately named Blobfish has already acquired a reputation for looking sad.

And now it has good reason for its glum expression - scientists are warning over-fishing by trawlers of its south eastern Australian habitat is threatening to make it extinct.

The bloated bottom dweller, which can grow up to 12 inches, lives at depths of up to 1/2 mile, so it rarely seen by humans.

But thanks to increased fishing, the fish is being dragged up with other catches.

Despite being inedible itself, the Blobfish lives at the same depths as other more appetizing ocean organisms, including crab and lobster.

Deep-sea expert Professor Callum Roberts, from University of York, said the Blobfish had plenty to be miserable about.

Prof Roberts, author The Unnatural History of the Sea, said: “Blobfish are very vulnerable to being dragged up in these nets and from what we know this fish is only restricted to these waters”.

In an article published in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, Berry is offering a warning to so called “moderate” or “blue dog democrats” about the upcoming bloodbath elections in November. Of course Berry is pointing to the 1994 elections that forced Bill Clinton to the center when he tried to play Obama Jr. in his first two years in office. However, in a Democrat only meeting with Obama, it seems that shouldn’t be of any concern? Why? President Hope-en-change said;

Lech Walesa, famous as the leader of the Polish Solidarity Movement and later president of that country, will be in Illinois campaigning for Adam Andrzejewski, one of five Republicans vying for the governorship.

The former Polish president will be the keynote speaker Friday at a Chicago luncheon fundraiser for Adam Andrzejewski, one of five Republican candidates for governor in Illinois.

“I applaud Mr. Andrzejewski’s commendable effort to bring real reform to politics,” Walesa wrote in a letter endorsing the 40-year-old businessman. “His insistence on transparency in public life are badly needed not only in the great state of Illinois, but in any democracy.”

Walesa is going into a Democratic stronghold to stump for a Republican. I’m interested to see if he has better luck on behalf of his candidate than the President did for Coakley in Massachusetts.

You can take the white trash out of the trailer park but you can’t take the trailer park out of the white trash! The procreating fool John Edwards has finally found it in his heart to confess the truth about his latest offspring (as of today). Especially since one of his lackeys has written a tell-all book about Edwards and his phony, power-hungry wife Elizabeth.

John Edwards is in so many ways a scumbag. He is a trial lawyer, he is greedy, he is a UNC Tarhole grad, he is a Democrat and he has the morals of a drunk Mexican. I know, I know, that’s an insult to drunk Mexicans! I can look forward to a nasty-gram from the Council of Drunk Mexicans tomorrow.

Edwards confessed yesterday in a statement:

“I am Quinn’s father. I will do everything in my power to provide her with the love and support she deserves. It was wrong for me ever to deny she was my daughter, and hopefully one day, when she understands, she will forgive me.”

She’ll understand her biological father is a scumbag who forced one of his friends to lie and accept responsibility for the child as not to hurt Edward’s political chances of being President. What’s really interesting and obvious is the upcoming book is the only reason Edwards is accepting responsibility of the child. Yes, I’m sure she’ll have some wonderful things to discuss with Johnny “when she understands.”

As for the mother, Rielle (real name Lisa Druck), she is a moonbeam Edwards met in a bar and later hired to do video for his campaign. Maybe she had certain…ummm talents…beneficial to the campaign. One thing that crosses my mind. This guy Edwards lives in a house that takes up half of North Carolina. He won gazillions of dollars suing tobacco companies. Hasn’t he ever heard of rubbers? Damn son!

Politico reports Edwards “appears largely to be seeking a more private redemption with low-profile charity work in El Salvador, which he’s visited three times, and now in Haiti. Oh my Lawd, Edwards has done gone and got da Latin Fevah! In a year, there will be hundreds of little ninos in El Salvador with perfect hair running around looking for Papa Juan! And Haiti? John’s got the jungle fever too!

A word of advice. John, just slink away to your million square foot mansion and hope that one day nobody remembers your name. Get rid of your fake, phony wife so you can “hike the Appalachians” to your heart’s extent. Hell, maybe you can hook up with your wingmen Bubba Clintoon and Mark Sanford. The University of Georgia's beloved mascot, Uga VII, died suddenly in Savannah on Thursday morning. The dog's owner said the white English bulldog died unexpectedly of an apparent heart attack. He was just 4 years old and in his second season as the university's official mascot.

Yes, folks I am sorry to bring you the bad news, but the University of Georgia's much beloved mascot has passed away. While "officially" being ruled a heart attack there are some who say it was from a broken heart after the season their football team has had, which was precipitated by their loss to Georgia Tech last year and the prospects this year looking even more bleak. Others think he may have taken his own life rather then being subjected to further humiliation.
Whatever the cause he will be deeply missed.

I hope Mr Holder, our brain dead socialist attorney general wasn't counting on any evidence gathered by Germany to use in the trial of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed. Germany says they are going to send an observer to ensure that none of the evidence they gathered is used since this is a potential death penalty case.

A German government official says the nation will send an observer to the upcoming trial in New York of the professed mastermind of the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks and four accused henchmen.
Justice Ministry spokeswoman Katharina Jahntz on Saturday confirmed a report in Der Spiegel that a German observer would attend the trial to ensure that no evidence provided by Germany would be used to apply the death penalty.

The circus is coming to town and as far as Germany is concerned, piss off. It was 3000 Americans who died that day and we will decide how to punish those who carried out the attack. The danger is that other countries may take the same stance as Germany and our litigator in chief could find himself without any evidence to present at trial.

On Thursday afternoon, a radicalized Muslim US Army officer shouting, "Allah Akbar!" ("God is great!") committed the worst act of terror on American soil since 9/11. And no one wants to call it an act of terror or associate it with Islam.
What cowards we are. Political correctness killed those patriotic Americans at Fort Hood as surely as the Islamist gunman did. And the media treat it like a case of nondenominational shoplifting.
This was a terrorist act. When an extremist plans and executes a murderous plot against our unarmed soldiers to protest our efforts to counter Islamist fanatics, it's an act of terror. Period.
When the terrorist posts anti-American hate speech on the Web; apparently praises suicide bombers and uses his own name; loudly criticizes US policies; argues (as a psychiatrist, no less) with his military patients over the worth of their sacrifices; refuses, in the name of Islam, to be photographed with female colleagues; lists his nationality as "Palestinian" in a Muslim spouse-matching program and parades around central Texas in a fundamentalist playsuit -- well, it only seems fair to call this terrorist an "Islamist terrorist."
But the president won't. Despite his promise to get to all the facts. Because there's no such thing as "Islamist terrorism" in ObamaWorld.

I could care less about about Rush Limbaugh and whether or not he buys what-ever…..I don’t follow any sports except my grandson’s hockey team…Limbaugh is the same as all talk shows hosts on both the right and left.

What irks me is the public –figure hypocrites out there who criticize anyone for the benefit of their own agenda and the “touchy-feely warm fuzz-wuzzy” feeling that they get down their legs. What a laugh these media heroes are..

But it's a good thing Limbaugh isn't an owner because he is too divisive or something. Yeah - whatever. The same league that has had more than 200 of its players charged with felonies, who let a guy back in who was electrocuting dogs, didn't want Limbaugh because he said something that he didn't say. COLUMBIA, S.C. — The mayor of a small South Carolina town says she banned her police officers from chasing suspects on foot after an officer was hurt running after a man.

Wellford Mayor Sallie Peake said Monday she issued the order in August after the city had to pay for an officer who missed work after chasing a "guy who had a piece of crack on him." She said a drug possession charge was not worth the cost to taxpayers. But her written order said she did "not want anyone chasing any suspects whatsoever."

The decision came after two town-issued cars were totaled within a month, although her order applies only to foot chases.

Reid was convicted of trying to explode an airplane bound from Paris to Miami by lighting high explosives hidden in his shoe. He was overpowered by flight staff and passengers and taken into custody. Now he calls the Supermax prison in Colorado home. However, due to the fact he is a TERRORIST, he has not been allowed to communicate with fellow terrorist prisoners being held there, pray with other Muslims and has had very limited exposure to news. Of course, his limited exposure to other terrorists and news has not kept him from filing lawsuits to get more freedoms.

This past summer, the Justice Department announced Reid would be granted his requests and be allowed to join his fellow terrorists in plotting more attacks on America! He also has communication with the outside world! Isn’t that nice? Isn’t President Obama a swell guy? Reid is the reason billions of people have to take off their shoes before boarding an airplane. That alone should have gotten him the death penalty! That he tried to kill hundreds in a terrorist attack should have guaranteed the death penalty! President Hoop-en-change seems to have a soft spot in his heart for terrorists. He has released a bunch of them since taking office and plans to close Guantanamo. But further than that, he is going to allow the U.S. Attorney General Eric Ali Akbar Holder to prosecute the CIA interrogators who have kept us save from these 7th century savages! Holder will soon announce that he has picked Special Prosecutor Fookyou Ayu- Muthers to be the Czar-in-Charge of the cases.

You can’t make this stuff up! Who would have ever imagined our President would close Gitmo and prosecute the CIA only eight years after 9/11? How about making the Shoe Bomber more comfy? It is beyond belief.

The New York Times quoted a senior Obama administration official as saying that the proposal that Paterson be asked to step aside came from a White House political adviser but was approved by “Grand Pooh-Pah” President Hoop-en-change Obama (Gov Peterson - “Oh pleeeze Mr. President, don’t make me go out and look for a honest job”)

“Is there concern about the situation in New York? Absolutely,” The Times quoted a second Obama administration official as saying.

“Has that concern been conveyed to the governor? Yes,” the official told The Times.

The newspaper said that Obama's request was conveyed to Paterson by White House Pet Dog Czar “Bo”, a Democrat from some lake in Portugal.

Libya's Col. Mortimer “Chocolate lips” Khadafy has a beef with Switzerland and plans to ask the United Nations to abolish the tiny Alpine home of milk chocolate, cuckoo clocks and yodeling.
According to Swiss minister Christa Markwalder, Khadafy will demand that Switzerland be wiped off the map when he comes to New York Sept. 23. He apparently wants the country to be split up and the land parceled out among neighboring France, Germany and Italy.
The Libya-Swiss Karbunckle began a year ago, when Khadafy's youngest son, Hannibal “The Animal” Khadafy, and his pregnant wife, Canniballa “Camel-face” Khadafy,

On Wednesday last week, President Barack Obama participated in a scripted online town hall with a friendly audience of religious voters and pastors in an effort to dispel misinformation regarding HR 3200, the Health-Care Reform Bill.

In a brazen and inept attempt to “relate” (as in “pander”) to his church-going audience, the President accused opponents of “bearing false witness” against his plans. I suppose by that he meant his critics are lying. True, bearing false witness is a specific type of lie, but it’s very difficult to do against an abstract object. Usually, false witness is borne against a person. Like Sarah Palin, for instance…

But, I digress.

During the meeting, Obama debunked “disinformation” alleging that illegal aliens would be eligible for the proposed plan. “That’s not true,” he objected, “There’s a specific provision in the bill that does not provide health insurance for those individuals.”

Let’s take a look at the text, shall we? The provision he cited is located on page 143 and reads as follows:

SEC. 246. NO FEDERAL PAYMENT FOR UNDOCUMENTED ALIENS

Wow. Can’t get much clearer than that! It looks like the Big “Hoop-en-change” is right: Undocumented aliens are excluded from collecting benefits under the plan

But… hey, wait a cotton-pickin’ minute!

On page 50, SEC. 152 explicitly prohibits discrimination under the act with “regard to personal characteristics extraneous to the provision of high quality health care or related services.”

In other words, undocumented aliens are not only eligible for ObamaCare, but their coverage is mandated.

So what’s up, Big “Hoop-en-change”? Quit jacking us around! Are they covered or not?

A further reading of Section 246 reveals that the plan only disallows “Federal payments for affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are not lawfully present in the United States.”

“Affordability credits” are federal subsidies that offset the cost of monthly health plan premiums for low income earners.

So, in short, undocumented aliens are eligible for the plan under Section 152, but ineligible for premium subsidies.

Now, let’s do the math:

Though illegal aliens will be prohibited from receiving Federal premium subsidies, they are not prohibited from participating in the plan.
Every benefit dollar received by the participant in excess of premium paid represents a deficit against the plan; and…
The plan is funded by tax dollars and benefits are paid by the Fed.

Gee… either the President doesn’t understand the eligibility guidelines of the Public Option, or he is deliberately lying.

This is a very misleading aspect of the bill, one likely to be quoted by Democrats and frothing moonbats over the next few months to bolster their charges of us “uninformed evil mongerers” spreading “disinformation.”

So next time some know-it-all Kool-Aid-drinker arrogantly bleats that illegal aliens aren’t covered under ObamaCare, tell them they are incorrect (or “full of shit,” if you prefer). SEC. 246 only forbids the payment of Federal premium subsidies to illegal's. It does not deny their eligibility to participate and/or collect reimbursement for medical charges under the plan.

As a matter of fact, under SEC. 152, the plan is explicitly prohibited against denying coverage to illegal aliens.

New York Senator Wants $4 Billion For Wildly Popular Program, Says Senate Really Dropped The Ball Initially

NEW YORK (CBS) ―The rebates aimed at getting gas guzzlers off the road have proven so successful, the $1 billion set aside to pay for them is drying up.
But Congress is set to earmark more money for the program.

"Not more than a few weeks ago there were skeptics who weren't sure that the 'Cash for Clunkers' program would work. But I'm happy to report that it has succeeded beyond our wildest expectation," President Barack Obama said.

"There were people in the Senate who didn't like the program and they said 'We won't let it go through. We will filibuster. Try $1 billion and see if it works,'" Schumer said.
He said those senators now have egg on their face.
"This week's evidence shows that people who said the program wouldn't work, who said that the program was the wrong thing to do, are very wrong themselves," Schumer said.
And even the $2 billion extra voted by the House isn't enough said Schumer, who wants at least $4 billion.
"'Cash for Clunkers' is helping jump start our weak economy," Schumer said.
And get gas guzzlers off the road.

Blog comments; Seems to me that this will do nothing for the environment. The amount of energy to make these new cars probably far out weighs the pollution from a car that gets 4 mpg better mileage? Sure sales will go up for the auto companies but then what happens after all the clunkers are gone? Hey…and wait a minute…what about all the poor auto mechanics who keep these clunkers rolling? Will they be out of business? What about the sales tax the new owners have to pay and the increased cost of tabs they will eat? Well that didn't take long. A program to buy back old energy inefficient vehicles has apparently run out of money 4 days into a program that was supposed to last until October. You got to love government efficiency.

“Transportation Department officials called lawmakers' offices earlier Thursday to alert them of plans to suspend the program as early as Friday. But a White House official said later the program had not been suspended and officials there were assessing their options.”

These folks want to control your healthcare. This administration is posting one failure after another. The stimulus package that didn't stimulate, a cap and trade policy that right now is capped in congress, and an attempt at card check that got checked at the door.
This morning Libertarian Party former presidential candidate, Wayne Root, was participating on a panel discussion on Fox and Friends talking about the near beer BS session last night and he brought up the case of the Mustang Ranch in Nevada.
The Mustang Ranch was a highly successful brothel in Nevada, that is until the owner got caught for not paying taxes, and since he wasn't an elected official, got sent to jail. The government took over control of the enterprise and within a year the ranch was out of business. How bad do you have to be to go bankrupt running a whorehouse??
Anyway there are reports all over the place of dealers not being able to get reimbursed from the government for car deals they have already made, that had been approved and now with word that the entire program may be out of money I hope y'all are enjoying all this hope and the change in your pocket.

How is one to deal with these selfish broken-down useless monsters as they suck the economic lifeblood from our Cities?

As usual, the Europeans have been leading the way. We all know how successful their previous bold moves in socialized health care have been.

The socialist system must and will crush him like a bug for the sake of the common good! Indeed, if everyone in England gets a feeding tube, there won't be enough money for social equality programs and global warming studies!

Every day THE British see the useless amongst them demanding increasingly more than their share! The so-called "Alzheimer's patients" selfishly take expensive medications to delay the inevitable! Someone should tell these people that they have an INCURABLE illness. And in five minutes when they forget what they were told, we should tell them AGAIN! The Britons are screaming, "No drugs for the useless!" It is a necessity that such ethics should also win over the backward individualism that still lingers the United States.

The most progress has been achieved, of course, by the French. We all applauded when the French said NON to the human leeches with too many decades against them, as forthright citizens deserted the elderly for August vacation leaving the prunes to wither and die! I am so proud of our European colleagues! Not since the French distributed AIDS tainted blood to avoid the excess cost of a screening test produced by American capitalists have we seen such forward thinking!

The main question of the day is, can Americans afford NOT to adopt socialized healthcare? Everyone knows that the individual will never take the necessary steps; it is up to the State to do it for us. In a vital decision like this, do we really need to depend on the vote of emotionally underdeveloped 60+ year old geezers? Those incapable or unwilling to acknowledge the moral superiority and the ethical progress of the more socially advanced Europeans, do not deserve a right to vote. Voting rights shall be taken away from them old farts, as well as their medicine.

DETROIT -- A flier supporting the re-election of Detroit City Councilwoman Martha Reeves is raising eyebrows just weeks before the August primaries.

With a resume that hardly needs padding, Reeves claims she is a member of eight organizations and lists the organizations' logos on the back of the flier.

When asked if she got permission to list the logos on her flier, she said, "Well, since I am a member -- no. It’s just public knowledge."

Of the three organizations that Channel 4 was able to contact, all said that Reeves is either not really a member, improperly used the organizations logo or mistakenly used the wrong logo.

One of the logos listed is the Detroit Lions. The NFL-protected logo cannot be used without permission. If used improperly, a person or organization can be sued.

"I am a member of the club -- The Detroit Lions Wizard of Oz Club. All of those organizations I am a member of," Reeves told Channel 4.

However, Reeves was apparently referring to her childhood fantasy of being the Cowardly Lion in her favorite The Wizard of Oz.

A Detroit Lions spokesman told Local 4 ..it was most likely an innocent mistake because it is really difficult to tell the difference between the logos and because they both have the color blue in them.

The Detroit Zoological Society told Local 4 that they believe an improper use of its logo was used, “but what the heck, we got a lotta lions around here and maybe we missed her on our last feeding?”

The Detroit Historical Society told Local 4 that Reeves is not even a member but added that ..”Martha Reeves is in the process of being inducted into Museum of Natural History ...and maybe that will make her a member or sorts?”

Reeves said she has not asked any of the organizations listed, including Motown, the AFL-CIO and the Rogell Golf Course for endorsements but said she was sure they would in a heart-beat if the Wizard would only give her a heart…

Although Martha Reeves is internationally famous for being the lead singer of the group Martha and the Vandellas she has now decided to use her middle name on the ballot.

The flier reads Martha Rose-Reeves on one side of the flier and Martha-Rose Reeves, with the hyphen in a different spot on the back.

"That's my name and I want everybody to know that. Barbara-Rose Collins exposed me when we were given an award – a rose award," said Reeves.

The flier also states, "Elect Martha-Rose Reeves and the Vandellas."

When asked if the Vandellas were also running for council, she said, "Yes. They are running and dancing in the streets and they will report back to me directly to advise me on what has to be done to improve the quality of music in the neighborhoods"

Blue Dogs who are dragged into Speaker Pelosi’s office should be aware of just how she is selling the health care bill. Yesterday, she told supporters it represented “real change,” because it meant “a cap on your [health care] costs, but no cap on your benefit.”

Essentially, what Pelosi is saying is that the Democrat plan for health care can provide you with an unlimited amount of health care “benefit” on a finite budget that’s actually represents less spending then we’re doing on health care now.

Anyone who has ever planned a wedding reception knows differently. Think of it this way: Private health care is a cash bar. Government health care is an open bar. We all know that less booze gets consumed at a cash bar than an open bar, and thus open bars are very, very expensive. But what Pelosi is suggesting is that we can have our health care be an open bar, where people can get all they want and have someone else pay for it, and simultaneously have it cost less overall than a cash bar where people have to pay for what they get.

This is simply not true. Pelosi is either lying in favor of her plan for health care or she’s economically illiterate or better yet she is way over due for a mental evaluation…

The truth is, if the Democrats actually intend private health care to cost less than private health care, it can’t be an open bar. It’ll be more like the sort of bar where you can drink all you want and you don’t have to pay the bartender, but the bartender gets to pick what you drink. And you have to wait 20 minutes for each drink.

And it costs you $1,000 to get into the reception.

Everything Obama says has an expiration date. It’s getting to the point where we may not even need to listen to Obama directly any more. It would be a waste of our time. We may as well just sit around and wait for his handlers to tell us what he really meant to say. The White House today sought to soften the tone of President Obama’s criticism of police in Cambridge, Mass. for arresting prominent professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. in his own home earlier this week.Asked about the incident at his nationally televised news conference last night, Obama said he thought “any of us would be pretty angry” about such an incident and that “the Cambridge Police acted stupidly in arresting somebody when there was already proof that they were in their own home.”

But this morning after several major police unions expressed outrage over the remarks, White House spokesman Robert L. Gibbs told reporters that Obama does not regret what the president said about the Cambridge Police Department, but he had not meant to specifically criticize James M. Crowley, the Cambridge police sergeant who made the arrest.

“Let me be clear,” Gibbs said. “ He was not calling the officer stupid, okay? He was denoting that . . . at a certain point the situation got far out of hand, and I think all sides understand that.”

There’s that “let me be clear” thing from the Obama administration again. Every time they say that, the only thing that’s clear is they’re about to tell us a whopper.

Obama said the cops acted stupidly. There’s no getting around that now. It’d be better for Obama and his people to just admit to the mistake than to try to convince us that we didn’t really hear what we heard.

In an audacious raid Friday, al-Qaeda terrorists managed to slip past White House security and seize President Obama's teleprompter. Their demands were released in a grainy video, which apparently showed the president's teleprompter, bound and blindfolded but unharmed, while heavily armed masked men stood behind it, quoting from the Qur'an. The content of their demands is not being released.

Leon Panetta, CIA Director: I'd like to address the terrorists, wherever they are hiding: If you did this because you were annoyed by our president saying "uh" too often in his speeches, then stealing the teleprompter is not going to help. Just think about it.

Janet Napolitano, DHS Secretary: I want to stop this misguided nonsense of calling terrorism "man-made disaster." A terrorist is a terrorist. They are evildoers and not "man-made disaster operators" for crying out loud!

President Obama, visibly shaken, attempted to address the White House press corps on his own. "Words, uh, um, I, uh, heh-heh, well..."

"We need a verb!" shouted David Gregory of MSNBC.

After our helicopter was forced down in Afghanistan, I held these thugs off for a week in bitter hand-to-hand fighting. President Barack Obama recently introduced Kenneth Feinberg as America's "compensation czar." He'll oversee executive pay at firms that have taken federal bailout money. Feinberg "will have broad discretion to set the salaries and bonuses for their five most senior executives and their 20 most highly paid employees," The New York Times reported.

Perhaps President Obama and Vice President Biden will start announcing these appointments only after the latest Czar or Czarina has produced something of consequence.

Detroit City Councilwoman Monica Conyers tried to keep things routine Tuesday, even as federal authorities bore down on her.

As they dangled a plea deal in their bribery investigation, she promoted a project at the council's regular meeting to help low-income people with their utilities. Later, she hosted her weekly TV show. She even had a hair appointment.

But her day was not normal. She brushed off reporters waiting to question her at the door to city hall. On her TV show, she stole a moment to call herself "a child of God," and told viewers "if you're not praying for me, then you're just adding to the problem."

And then she added: "All these things that are going on right now ... I believe in my heart that God will deliver me from them."

The mother of 5-year-old Nevaeh Buchanan defended herself Monday night during a contentious interview with CNN’s Nancy Grace.

Jennifer Buchanan, of Monroe, repeated what she told the Free Press for a Sunday story -- that she had nothing to do with her daughter’s disappearance.

Grace grilled Buchanan on exposing her daughters to men she knew to be sex offenders.

“I know that I have made -- I have made a lot of bad choices,” Buchanan said according to a show transcript. “And who hasn't? And I know that somehow …”

Grace interrupted, “Whoa, you know what? You can stop right there. You can just stop right there, Miss Buchanan, because most mothers that I know have never knowingly exposed their little girl, a 5-year-old little girl, to a sex offender. So when you say who hasn’t? I for one haven’t. I haven’t.”

If it wasn’t for Nancy Grace people would kill kids like spiders. In fact, that’s how it used to be. Now it’s different because Grace bravely berates the parents, (who are irresponsible), of missing and murdered children for being awful people. Jennifer Buchanan, whose daughter’s remains were found this week, learned how awful she is thanks to Nancy Grace. You know what? Instead of waiting until a child turns up dead to publicly humiliate some lump of humanity for being a bad parent, why don’t we do it earlier? Detroit schools employees wait for checks

Today employees for the Detroit Public Schools withstood long lines while trying to pick up paychecks at 10 locations around the city.

"Holy cat’s Batman!…. is that, you know who, in line behind the lady with the umbrella?”

After being turned away this “you know who” who…. identified himself as Adolf Mongoose was heard mumbling to himself “What do you mean there’s no direct deposit?”

Emergency Financial Manager Robert Bobb instituted the process in order to verify that each employee who is receiving a check is actually working for the district.

This comes after Inspector General John Bell investigated and turned over to the U.S. attorney and Wayne County prosecutor at least three cases where employees or former employees improperly collected checks. In one instance, a former payroll manager allegedly sent $400,000 in paychecks to a retiree. They allegedly split the proceeds.

DPS employs about 15,000 workers. They could pick up checks or direct deposit stubs -- with a DPS identification card -- today at an assigned location until 7 p.m. or at the central office through Friday, officials said.

Today some employees picking up checks at Cody High endured two-hour waits only to be told that their checks were not available. Some teachers said they watched each other’s classes so colleagues could go stand in line. A few brought chairs. Several dabbed at their brows as the line trailed alongside the parking lot outside the building.

Employees said they understood the reason for the verifications, but had hoped for a quicker and easier process.

“I think it’s a good idea because he’ll find out who works for the board and who doesn’t,” said Susan Smith, a bus driver.

Robert “Bob” Bobb continues with his “flashy” ways. He’s verifying that everyone who works for Detroit Public Schools actually exists. Employees had to pick up their paychecks in person. How unfair to the dozens of families that rely on phantom DPS employee paychecks just to make ends meet. Bobb never thinks of those people. All he cares about is educating children. So selfish. Do you know how hard it is to get a phantom job during a recession? Naturally, being public educators, employees waited in line for their check during school hours. Everyone just sit quietly this period while Mr. Smith collects his pay. Try not to a burden to society just because the education system failed to provide any employable skills.

Detroit City Councilwoman JoAnn Watson paid only $68 in property taxes this year because city records say her well-kept, brick Tudor-style home doesn't exist. Although the home has occupied its west-side plot since 1926, city records have classified the parcel as an empty lot for the past decade.

"I pay the taxes. All I know is I had a big drop when my house got hit hard by a tornado," she said. "We had great damage."

Watson said she could not recall the specific date the tornado hit, saying it might have been 2002, or perhaps 1993 but she said her step-sister LillyAnn “The Enforcer” Tamale

was able to find a picture of her home just before the tornado hit

“Just look at the that picture, my poor home is right in the path of the tornado!!!!”

She acknowledged, however, that she never reported the incident to her insurance company or anyone else. National Weather Service meteorologists said the last tornadoes to hit Detroit occurred in 1996 and 1997 -- before Watson says her taxes were reduced because of what she called "the natural disaster."

“My sister LillyAnn took care of everything” , adding that,

“LillyAnn told me that she informed the City Assessor that the hole in the roof was fixed and that I wanted to pay my fair share of taxes if she knew what was good for herself”

"If it's an amount that's been determined by the people who are in the business of assessing ... and you pay that, then what's the issue?"

She said she did not rejoice in the tax break.

"In fact, I was kind of insulted," she said, adding that she feared the value of her home had plummeted.

However, in 2002, as she prepared to run for City Council, Watson obtained a $60,000 mortgage.

To obtain the loan, Watson acknowledged that her property was appraised. But she said that appraisal did not prompt her to think that her home had regained value and, consequently, would merit an increase in her property tax bill.

She said she assumed the appraisers "used their financial wizard" to help her get the loan on her home.

Watson said that “the tornado photograph speaks for itself, I feel vindicated of any wrong doing”.

As recently as Tuesday, Watson blasted state officials who she said have cut $130 million from the city's portion of revenue sharing over the years. "They owe us," she said during a City Council meeting, demanding that the state pay the money to help Detroit through its financial crisis. Watson's failure to realize she was paying significantly less than she should is noteworthy because she occasionally admonishes city officials for not being more diligent in collecting outstanding property taxes. She says the city needs that money to reduce its deficit, which recent estimates put at close to $300 million.

Air Force One" Flyover Incident an Embarrassment

The fallout continues from the "Air Force One incident."

Thousands of New Yorkers fled their offices Monday as word spread that a jumbo jet and an F-16 fighter were buzzing Manhattan at a low altitude. Many feared that it might be a terrorist attack like the one on 9/11.

It turned out to be a public relations gambit in which the Air Force was taking promotional photos of the plane—a 747 designated Air Force One when the president is aboard—over the New York skyline. Government officials particularly wanted images of the plane with the Statue of Liberty in the background. The pictures were to be distributed as souvenirs and post cards. President Obama was not aboard the plane at the time. (“Oh Ya…Where was he then?”)

The $328,835 snapshots of an Air Force One backup plane buzzing lower Manhattan last week will not be shown to the public, the White House said yesterday.

"We have no plans to release them," an aide to President Obama told The Post, refusing to comment further.

The photos have not technically been "classified," a White House aide said, but they are being kept from public view. They are considered “non-transparent” at this time.

Fiat is out to create a green powerhouse

MILAN (AP) — Fiat is trying to build a global green powerhouse car out of parts scavenged from broken-down General Motors and Chrysler.

The Italian automaker struck a deal last week that could eventually give it a controlling interest in Chrysler.

Fiat gave a sneak preview of their new car called the “The Mean Green Weenie” which is expected to change the automotive landscape forever. The new technology will not only give owners 750 miles per one pint of virgin Italian olive oil but they will be able to fold it up and carry it around in a backpack therefore putting those middle Eastern parking lot owners out of business… “bastone al terroristici arabi”

Fiat Group CEO Sergio Marchionne,

says his grand plan is for Fiat to spin off the resulting auto by using “Elf Technology”, which he said would be big enough to compete with the mightiest of car companies, with capacity to turn out some 5.5 million vehicles a year.

Fiat's aim eventually is to become the world's No. 2 automaker, behind Japan's Toyota, according to Germany's economics minister, who met with Marchionne on Monday in Berlin.

But there are lots of questions about whether Marchionne can pull it off.

The plan is audacious, not the least because Marchionne is hoping to execute it without putting down a cent. "We're in the middle of an automotive yard sale," Marchionne said. Not only is the stuff cheap, the labor costs will be low because we plan on using elves to produce the car.

Fiat's deal to take a big piece of Chrysler could not only save Chrysler, it would give Fiat access to the huge North American green market.

Arlen Specter knew he was going to lose the Republican primary to Pat Toomey. He said as much. In trying to sell this defection as a matter of principle.

He reached “The Mole” by phone, after he figured out how to use it, and told him "you have my full support" and that the Democratic Party is "thrilled to have you."

The same goes for the House. We are governed by men and women of no-principle and the Specter example screams the necessity for term limits!

Arlen Specter, Pennsylvania Democrat, said part of the reason that he left the Republican Party last week was disillusionment with its health-care priorities, and suggested that had the Republicans taken a more moderate track, Jack Kemp may have won his battle with cancer. Mr. Specter, responding to a question from CBS' Bob Schieffer over whether he had let down Pennsylvanians who wanted a Republican to represent them, said he thought his priorities were more in line with those of the Democrats.

"Well, I was sorry to disappoint many people. Frankly, I was disappointed that the Republican Party didn't want me as their candidate," Mr. Specter said on "Face the Nation." "But as a matter of principle, I'm becoming much more comfortable with the Democrats' approach. And one of the items that I'm working on, Bob, is funding for medical research."

Mr. Specter continued: "If we had pursued what President Nixon declared in 1970 as the war on cancer, we would have cured many strains. I think Jack Kemp would be alive today. And that research has saved or prolonged many lives, including mine."

Mr. Kemp died Saturday of cancer. He had been the running mate of 1996 Republican presidential candidate Bob Dole.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Vice President Joe “The Brain” Biden said on Thursday he would tell his family to stay out of airplanes or subways to avoid contracting swine flu, prompting his office to issue a clarification.

Asked on NBC's "Today" show what he would tell members of his family if they asked him whether they should get on a commercial airliner to Mexico in the next week, Biden said:

"I would tell members of my family -- and I have -- I wouldn't go anywhere in confined places now."

He said the problem is that "when one person sneezes it goes all the way through the aircraft."

"If you're out in the middle of a field and someone like the scarecrow sneezes, that's one thing. If you're in a closed aircraft or a closed container, a closed car, a closed classroom, a closed jar, a closed call it's a different thing," he added.

sought to clarify Biden's remarks by looking into her crystal ball and issuing a statement shortly after his television interview. She said Biden meant to say……..

Ya know maybe he is getting a bad rap?… Heck, he is just telling the truth… He is being “Obominal transparant” I tell my family to avoid crowded places because I don’t want them to catch the flu. If they were sick I would tell them to stay home. But……Biden is in a different situation…What he says on TV to thousands of people is considered the real thing. Unfortunately that ain’t the way it goes in Washington. White House spokespeople say that Joey meant that “if you are sick…stay out of confined places, blah…blah….blah”. Biden’s comments didn't bother me but Biden’s spokesperson sure did. “How dumb do they tink us commoners is?”

So Vice President Joe “The Brain” Biden, just to make amends to the White House spin machine and to stop the sharp decline in airline stocks, took the train home yesterday.

The First Lady spent April 29th volunteering: She donated time filling bags with non-perishable food to be distributed at the Capitol Area Food Bank for Feeding America. An extremely worthy and commendable activity, and yet the photo has spurred a mini controversy. Why you may ask? Her fashion choices over a pair of lousey tennis shoes…

At first glance, there is nothing exceptional about her casual capri-and-sneaker combo, but upon closer inspection, it's obvious that these are no average kicks. First Lady “Michelle, My Belle” rocked a pair of $540 Lanvin sneakers to the food bank.

Darn it!, Its about time we stop picking on “Michelle, My Belle”. You have this all wrong. “Michelle, My Belle” was not wearing these pricey kicks to impress anyone, she was just trying to fit in at the food bank. She was told that many of the poor at the food bank wore sneakers that were held together with duck tape. “Michelle, My Belle” in all her compassion wanted to be the same,

So…… her Deputy Chief Dressy-up Advisor, Greta Twoballs, picked out a pair of Lanvin kicks that look like they were made out of duck tape?

First Lady “Michelle, My Belle” not only helped pass out food to the needy she also donated 240lbs of day old cake so that the poor could eat cake too and not just non-perishable food.

Later in an interview, “Michelle, My Belle” said she was going to wear her “everyday” sneakers but found out that President “Obama-lama-ding-dong” gave them along with two dozen pizza pies to his needy half-brother in Kenya.

“Michelle, My Belle” also said that in a gesture to give everyone a chance at the American dream, she gave her Lanvin shoes to a shoe-less, tooth-less bag lady who was waiting in line for cake. Hedda Hopperstein, the shoe-less, tooth-less bag lady cried, “maybe I can become rich and famous now!!!”…

First Lady Michelle, My Belle humbly added, “if it weren't for shoes, where would Cinderella be now…huh?…scrubbing floors on the East side of Chicago”….

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano defended the government's response at a press conference Monday afternoon as reporters asked her about the risk of asymptomatic swine flu carriers entering the country.

Napolitano said that we are already identifying, detaining and isolating those who seem ill and try to cross into the United States. We're doing passive surveillance at the border and vigorously giving out yellow cards explaining the signs of swine flu and instructions on what to do about it in multiple foreign languages, including Pig-Latin, as a reporter asked if closure of the border had been considered.

Detroit Mayor Ken Cockrel Jr. today announced Detroit’s first curbside recycling program.
The one-year pilot program will begin on the city’s east and west sides in July.

The number of drop-off recycling centers and mobile centers will also be increased, according to the statement.
If the pilot program is successful, a city-wide permanent program will be implemented within two years.

When you're the president of the United States, only the best pizza will do - even if that means flying a chef 860 miles.

Chris Sommers, 33, jetted into Washington from St Louis, Missouri, on Thursday with a suitcase of dough, cheese and pans to to prepare food for the Obamas and their staff.

He had apparently been handpicked after the President had tasted his pizzas on the campaign trail last autumn.

'It's surreal, it's a huge honour,' said Mr Sommers, who owns Pi restaurant in St Louis.

'It will be a casual lunch and hopefully we'll have a chance to say hello to the president.'

Mr Somers was accompanied by this business partner Ryan Mangilardo who will help prepare the dinner for 140 this evening.

It will feature his signature dishes - ten deep dish and ten thin crust creations.

He is also planning a pizza especially for the president - "The Hyde Park Revolution", shaped like the head of Reverend Wright, topped with chicken lips, mountain oysters, sardines, peanut butter, and hot sauce.

We asked a nervous White House Official Protocol Environmental Envoy (“W.H.O.P.E.E.”) what the cost was and how big the carbon footprint was in regards to flying in the chef to make the pizzas. Reggie “Big Guns” Esters, 38, was fired from the $30,500 job last summer on ~~claims~~ because of chronic absenteeism. About the same time, he was charged with 10 felonies stemming from allegations he brandished a shotgun at two people, according to court records. He pleaded guilty to one count and faces sentencing April 17.

Meah said “Moon-beam” wanted her brother hired as a $50,000 inspector, but he wasn't qualified and wouldn't pass a license exam. Instead, he was hired as an investigator who checked if businesses are properly licensed. (This sounds like the right job for him…you know, like a mob enforcer like you see in the movies?)

“Moon-bean”, whose maiden name is Esters, said Meah is wrong. She denied that Esters is her brother.

"It was mostly under the radar," Williams said. "We thought it would put (the president) in a precarious position. We didn't know how closely he wanted to appear to be working with the Muslim American community."

Ya know I checked on this guy…Keith Ellison (aka Keith Hakim or Keith Ellison Muhammad)….he is the first Muslim elected to Congress. His promise to take the oath of office on January 4, 2007 with his hand on the Koran rather than the Bible.

Reinforcing his pro-Islamist stance, was Ellison’s celebration speech in Dearborn, Mich.—the hotbed of Hezbollah supporters. He promised allegiance to Allah before a crowd cheering, “Allahu Akbar!” (Allah is great!)—the final words of the 9/11 hijackers before crashing into the Twin Towers.

As I see it, here is the problem with taking the oath of office using the Koran……and not the Bible…….

The Bible teaches that “The Truth shall make you free,” (another words, for you Gitmo Goonies and company, “Tell the Truth”!) The Koran, by contrast, teaches that it’s OK to lie to infidels if it furthers the cause of Islam; that nation states have no legitimacy; that the only legitimate nation is the nation of Islam, which has no territorial boundaries; and those who do not submit to the will of Allah should be condemned to a life of dhimmitude (a.k.a. dhimi-wits uneducated second class citizenry). Because the Koran does not mandate truth telling to infidels ( that’s we Americans) and because upholding a man-made constitution ( that’s the U.S. Constitution)conflicts with the literal text of Koranic law this may explain why all the lies and attempts by our many Congressional “super-duper dhimi-wits” to destroy our Constitution.

It’s interesting the contradictions in politics. The dhimi-wits that the Koran condemns are the same dhimi-wits that are giving power to the non-dhimi-wits.

This is great…We got a full blown subversive overthrow of the American way of life and the dhimi-wits don’t even know it. It’s like a dentist who tells you won't even feel it or know it when he pulls out all of your teeth and you are happy about it until you sit down to dinner and try to eat an ear of corn.

Man, when you talk about taking the ball and running with it, You’d think Obama won the election with 90% of the vote. In a press conference, Dennis Blair, the Director of National Intelligence said the Obama administration is still wrestling with what to do with the remaining 240 detainees at the Guantanamo Bay Naval Base, which the president has ordered closed. Some of the detainees, deemed non-threatening, may be released into the United States as free men, Blair confirmed. That would happen when they can’t be returned to their home countries, because the governments either won’t take them or the U.S. fears they will be abused or tortured.

At a time when the federal government is spending billions of stimulus dollars to stem the tide of U.S. layoffs, should that same government put even more Americans out of work by buying cheaper foreign products?

In this case, Chinese condoms.

In a move expected to cost 300 American the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), which has distributed an estimated 10 billion U.S.-made AIDS-preventing condoms in poor countries around the world.

But not anymore.

The switch comes despite assurances over the years that the agency would continue to buy American whenever possible.

But that's cold comfort to Alatech Healthcare condom worker Fannie Thomas, who has been making condoms in the southeastern Alabama factory for nearly 40 years in the small town of Eufaula.

“We pay taxes down here, too, and with all this stimulus money going to save jobs, it seems to me like they (the U.S. government) should share this contract so they can save jobs here in America,” Thomas said.

In fact, the government is close to accepting condoms from two offshore companies: Unidick Corp., which makes condoms in South Korea, and Qingdao Double Butterfly Group, which makes them in China.

Its time to leave the “Perils of Pauline” in the Detroit City Council and the “Adventures of Huckleberry Finn” in the White House and move on to some of the better known inmates of “Happy Hill Rest Home” (better known as Congress) and to look into ways our dearly beloved officials serve us….

Take one, Congressman Harry “Six Fingers” Reid, from the great state of Nevada.

Harry got his nickname after he learned at a very young age, that he had very sticky hands and when ever he laid down five items he came back with six? This phenomenon was considered a rare gift in the illegal profession of shoplifting. Therefore, Harry realizing what a precious gift he had been given decided to pledge his life to the great art of “Congressional Con-u-dumi-ty Activism”. (Actually Harry figured it was likely he would go to jail if he pursued a life of shoplifting so he decided to run for Congressional Sainthood where no one knows; Who dunnit?, What happened?, Where was I?, When?, How?, Why?, and just "all around" What's my freaking job?

Tomes can be written on Harry’s accomplishments and this Blog does not have room for all of the blessings he has given the American people but two items came up today that must be noted and can summarize his commitment to “Con-u-dumi-ty Activism”. These two items will make us all feel a little more humble after learning of his un-relentless fight to use that sixth finger.

1: Tonight, the citizens of Las Vegas, Nevada sleep soundly. Their senator, Harry Reid, is so concerned for their safety that he’s spent endless nights concocting a plan to keep them safe. Reid has recently proclaimed that thou shall not steal copper wiring in Sin City. To enforce this new edict, Senator Reid has successfully obtained $400,000 for copper wire theft prevention in the recent omnibus spending bill.

It seems clear to me that Congressman Reid’s decree will allow Las Vegas residents to overlook the fact that they have a one in eight chance of coming back to their home or car to find it robbed, damaged or missing. But once their copper wiring is safe, people will disregard the trivial fact that robbery in Las Vegas occurs at a rate five and a half times higher than elsewhere in the US, and assault is nearly four times more frequent.

Crime statisticians give Las Vegas a crime index number of 0, with 100 being the safest. They also say that Las Vegas is “safer than 0% of the cities in the US”. If a city is in the 0th percentile in terms of violent crimes and property theft, wouldn’t you think it might be helpful to put some money towards the hiring of police officers? Wouldn’t you think it would be important to focus on the violent murders, the houses being ransacked, and the people being assaulted?

2: LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Nevada Congressman Harry Reid has sent a letter to President “Huff-n-Puff” asking for clarification to a provision that restricts casinos from using federal stimulus funds. Harry said that the provision is "overly broad" and is discouraging nonprofit groups from applying for stimulus money.

Reid argues that casinos are often the only suitable space for conferences and workshops held by community organizations. He also cites a women's group that often uses casino hotel rooms as transitional housing for victims of violence. (why doesn’t he put recovering alcoholics and gambling addictive people in there too?

Martha Reeves to Jay Leno: Perform inside city

DETROIT (AP) — Motown star turned Detroit City Councilwoman Martha Reeves says she has put in a call to comedian Jay Leno, asking him to move a free performance into the city from the suburbs.

Leno said on Monday's episode of NBC's "Tonight" show that the April 7 performance at The Palace of Auburn Hills will be for "anybody out of work in Detroit."

"He and I are longtime friends," The News quoted Reeves as saying. "I called him, and he said Detroit is his favorite place to visit."

Reeves, who was the lead singer of Martha and the Vandellas, said that Joe Louis Arena in Detroit was good enough for President Barack Obama, who held a campaign event there last year.

Hooray! Martha Reeves campaign for a second free Jay Leno show is a success! He’s doing that second show.

He said: “The secretary of the Treasury is sitting there without a deputy, without any undersecretaries, without any – as far as I know – assistant secretaries responsible in substantive areas at a time of very severe crisis. He shouldn’t be sitting there alone.”

Martha Reeves plans to call Jay Leno and let him know that the Palace is not in Detroit like beautiful, watertight Cobo ~~Falls~~ Hall or maybe Harpos. One problem, she doesn’t know his telephone number. Monica Conyers told her to just call NBC and they would connect her directly to Jay Leno because she’s Martha Reeves and the Vandellas. His Assembly Line Concert, starting at 5 p.m. March 20 and set to run nonstop for more than 10 days, aims to enlist car buyers as well as break a Guinness record.

The story goes on to say that when Princess Monica fled the kingdom of Duloc she gave her tiara away to Lord Farquaad’s evil step-mother Lady Barbarosa to ensure her safe passage out of the kingdom. A close inspection of the wedding photo of Shrek and Princess Fiona shows Princess Fiona wearing the same tiara and Princess Monica without hers. As we reported earlier this photo was taken in 2001, many years after Princess Monica fled the kingdom and giving her tiara away.

We can now confidently say that we believe we have identified at least two members of the Detroit City Council that have their roots in fairyland. Not to be outdone, Barbara-Rose Collins thanked an Arab-American man for inventing geometry. I shit you not. Then she led the crowd in a rendition of Onward Christian Soldiers. Martha Reeves wanted to join in but could not remember the words.

There is just so much stupidity on City Council that it is impossible to absorb it all. It’s like moron overload. Martha Reeves once, a half century ago, sang a couple pop songs that people liked. This is her single lifetime accomplishment and it qualifies her to serve on City Council. Thank goodness for her leadership because who else would suggest that city government (with its $300,000,000 structural deficit) persuad the city employee’s pension fund to buy Cobo Hall?

American Idol in Detroit?

Who knows, maybe some good will come out of this insanity. Our sources tell us that Executive Producer Simon Fuller of American Idol saw the news video of last nights Council meeting and is considering adding a new dimension to the popular TV show. The spin off would be named American “Dumb” Idol. Fuller said that the first show would be taped in Detroit and Council members Monica Conyers, Joann Watson, Martha Reeves, Alberta Tinsley-Talabi, and Barbara-Rose Collins all jumped at the opportunity to compete but added a requirement that Ryan Seacrest must be replaced by a host that “looks like Council President Monica Conyers”.

The Swamp Ogre said that Princess Monica fled the kingdom years ago and came back only to attend the wedding. Princess Monica later showed up in the Detroit as Council member Monica Conyers.
The Swamp Ogre believes that Princess Monica calling Council President Ken Cockrel "Shrek" last year was not intended as a slur but was a slip of tongue on her part. The Swamp Ogre believes that Princess Monica meant to call the Mayor "Shithead" but was overcome by the resemblace of the Mayor to her gentle giant brother-in-law and called the Mayor "Shrek" by accident nearly exposing her true identity.
Princess Monica is hiding from Lord Farguaad's posse who has been hunting for her. It appears that Lord Farguaad promised Princess Monica's hand in marriage to the village idiot many years ago but Monica fled and married a congressional idiot instead.

Vice President Joe "the brain" Biden, tasked with overseeing the $787 billion stimulus package, has been having a little trouble with his "numbers."

During an interview on CBS' "Early Show" on Wednesday, Biden told viewers to check out a government-run Web site tracking stimulus spending, but admitted he was embarrassed because he couldn't remember the site's "number."

"You know, I'm embarrassed. Do you know the Web site number?" he asked an aide standing out of view. "I should have it in front of me and I don't. I'm actually embarrassed."

Biden, seemed to indicate that he thought the Internet worked like a giant telephone (just like the one I bought for my 3yr old granddaughter for Christmas), sounded unusually “old age-ish” noting he is inside an administration often heralded for its mastery of the Web.

Isn’t this the same gang of acumentated, acuitative, inteligencia who said McCain shouldn’t be President because he didn’t use e-mail and didn’t know how to Google?

COBO HALL - Monica Conyers weighs write-in run for Detroit mayor

DETROIT -- City Council President Monica Conyers, buoyed by her orchestrated defeat of the Cobo Center revitalization and expansion plan, is mulling a run for mayor.
Speaking Thursday after a guest appearance on the detnews.com political roundtable "Hold The Onions," Conyers said she has been approached to run as a write-in candidate by a group of city activists who believed that turning Cobo over to a regional authority was tantamount to giving away one of the city's crown jewels to suburbanites.
"People have asked me," said Conyers, who remains council president at least through the May 5 special election for Detroit mayor. "I haven't said anything. I just listened."
The Call 'Em Out Coalition is encouraging Conyers to run. The Detroit-based organization is known for the "Sambo" awards it bestows on people it feels are selling out Detroit. Representatives of the organization couldn't be reached for comment.

The regional plan to expand Cobo Hall made too much sense. It enabled Detroit to retain the North American International Auto Show. It removed a budgetary drain off of city's books while providing green money to help Detroit pay off its Cobo-related obligations. Good God, this was more than just sound policy. It was a brief shining oasis of competence in the desert of ineptitude and graft that is Michigan politics.Naturally a plan this logical had to be destroyed and that's what Monica Conyers did with help from her sap-sucking colleagues Barbara-Rose Collins, Joann Watson, Martha Reeves, and Alberta Tinsley-Talabi. Collectively, those five women equal two tons of fun.

Monica Conyers is just a vile rustic half-wit who would be more comfortable on a backwoods dung pile than in a major cosmopolitan city. The only difference between Monica Conyers and Cletus the Slack Jawed Yokel is the SPF level of their respective sunscreens. John Conyers deserves a severe case of hemorrhoids for unleashing Monica on the good and decent people of Detroit.

COW FARTS EMIT MORE CO2 THAT AUTOMOBILES

Meet the world's top destroyer of the environment. It is not the car, or the plane, or even George Bush: it is the cow.

A United Nations report has identified the world's rapidly growing herds of cattle as the greatest threat to the climate, forests and wildlife. And they are blamed for a host of other environmental crimes, from acid rain to the introduction of alien species, from producing deserts to creating dead zones in the oceans, from poisoning rivers and drinking water to destroying coral reefs.
The 40,000-page report by the Food and Agricultural Organization a.k.a. A. Gore Enterprizes, entitled "Livestock's Long Fart", also surveys the damage done by sheep, chickens, pigs and goats. But in almost every case, the world's 1.5 billion cattle are most to blame. Livestock are responsible for 18 per cent of the greenhouse gases that cause global warming, more than cars, planes and all other forms of transport put together.

Burning fuel to produce fertilizer to grow feed, to produce meat and to transport it - and clearing vegetation for grazing - produces 9 per cent of all emissions of carbon dioxide, the most common greenhouse gas. And their wind and manure emit more than one third of emissions of another, methane, which warms the world 20 times faster than carbon dioxide.

Livestock also produces more than 100 other polluting gases, including more than two-thirds of the world's emissions of ammonia, one of the main causes of acid rain.

Ranching, the report adds, is "the major driver of deforestation" worldwide, and overgrazing is turning a fifth of all pastures and ranges into desert. Cows also soak up vast amounts of water: it takes a staggering 990 liters of water to produce one litre of milk.

Wastes from feedlots and fertilizers used to grow their feed over nourish water, causing weeds to choke all other life. And the pesticides, antibiotics and hormones used to treat them get into drinking water and endanger human health.

The pollution washes down to the sea, killing coral reefs and creating "dead zones" devoid of life. One is up to 21,000sqkm, in the Gulf of Mexico, where much of the waste from US beef production is carried down the Mississippi.

The report concludes that, unless drastic changes are made, the massive damage done by livestock will more than double by 2050, as demand for meat increases.

Therefore the Obama administration is going to appoint a Fart Czar to oversee the emmission of farts in the U.S. The Fart Czar will work hand in hand with private groups to study ways that Americans can eliminate beef and milk from their diets. Already the Muslim population in the United States has promised not to eat pork when no one is watching.

Also newly appointed Crime Czar William Ayers is looking into enacting new Federal laws banning "ranches", "ranching without a license" and possibly "ranching under the influence of cow farts".

Skeptics in Congress who believe that this problem cannot be solved have suggested to Nancy Pelosi that Congress ban all automobiles and everyone ride cows and pigs. This way the polution caused by automobiles can be eliminated therefore minimizing the damage caused by farts.

These same Congressmen are suggesting that part of the Stimulus Bill be directed to developing a cow fart filter or muffler that can fit up a cow's ass to purify the farts. Congressman Barney Franks (D) has stated off record that he would drop his position in the Banking Committee in a nano-second if he was given a chance to work on the development of the filter. Mr. Franks said that he already has a name for the yet to be developed apparatus, he called it "Barney's Cow Insertion Protocol".

First utilities, then, gas operated engines, now cow farts and hamburgers?

When it comes to global warming, hamburgers are the Hummers of food, scientists say.
Simply switching from steak to salad could cut as much carbon as leaving the car at home a couple days a week.
That's because beef is such an incredibly inefficient food to produce and cows release so much harmful methane into the atmosphere, said Nathan Pelletier of Dalhousie University in Canada.
Pelletier is one of a growing number of scientists studying the environmental costs of food from field to plate.
By looking at everything from how much grain a cow eats before it is ready for slaughter to the emissions released by manure, they are getting a clearer idea of the true costs of food.
The livestock sector is estimated to account for 18 percent of global greenhouse gas emissions and beef is the biggest culprit.
Even though beef only accounts for 30 percent of meat consumption in the developed world it's responsible for 78 percent of the emissions, Pelletier said Sunday at a meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
That's because a single kilogram of beef produces 16 kilograms carbon dioxide equivalent emissions: four times higher than pork and more than ten times as much as a kilogram of poultry, Pelletier said.
If people were to simply switch from beef to chicken, emissions would be cut by 70 percent, Pelletier said.
Another part of the problem is people are eating far more meat than they need to.
"Meat once was a luxury in our diet," Pelletier said. "We used to eat it once a week. Now we eat it every day."
If meat consumption in the developed world was cut from the current level of about 90 kilograms a year to the recommended level of 53 kilograms a year, livestock related emissions would fall by 44 percent.
"Given the projected doubling of (global) meat production by 2050, we're going to have to cut our emissions by half just to maintain current levels," Pelletier said.
"Technical improvements are not going to get us there."
That's why changing the kinds of food people eat is so important, said Chris Weber, a professor of civil and environmental engineering at Carnegie Mellon University in Pennsylvania.
Food is the third largest contributor to the average US household's carbon footprint after driving and utilities, and in Europe - where people drive less and have smaller homes - it has an even greater impact.
"Food is of particular importance to a consumer's impact because it's a daily choice that is, at least in theory, easy to change," Weber said.
"You make your choice every day about what to eat, but once you have a house and a car you're locked into that for a while."
The average US household contributes about five tons of carbon dioxide a year by driving and about 3.5 tons of equivalent emissions with what they eat, he said.
"Switching to no red meat and no dairy products is the equivalent of (cutting out) 8,100 miles driven in a car ... that gets 25 miles to the gallon," Weber said in an interview following the symposium.
Buying local meat and produce will not have nearly the same effect, he cautioned.
That's because only five percent of the emissions related to food come from transporting food to market.
"You can have a much bigger impact by shifting just one day a week from meat and dairy to anything else than going local every day of the year," Weber said.
